| Thread: Rusty brown or tan |
| Body: Mahogany brown or rusty brown dubbing (dubbed very thin and sparse) |
| Tail: Microfibbets in light dun (split with ball of dubbing) |
| Hackle: Light-medium dun hackle(clipped top and bottom) |
| Wing: Z-lon or hi-vis in light dun (only used as a subsitute for hackle - do not use with hackle) |
| Rib: Brown 6/0 thread (optional) |
